Air Salvage International (ASI) is based at Cotswold Airport, Gloucestershire and is a world leader in the disassembly of commercial aircraft at the end of their economic life. The company is in its 27th year of operation – with the aim to reduce its carbon footprint always at its core.
The Company is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Parts Processor based in its busy, environmentally friendly warehouse, working both individually and as part of a team. The role involves selecting and recording details of high-value components under pressure, with high standards of accuracy and care, working on both an in-house database and that of customers. The Parts Processor is also responsible for safely and efficiently packing components as per customer request, prior to them being shipped by the Logistics Department. Both these responsibilities are carried out in accordance with Company quality management systems/health and safety policy, and to meet the high levels of customer satisfaction the Company is known for. The components will eventually be used as spares for the airline industry following re-certification, completing the cycle of ‘circular economy’ in sustainable aviation that ASI is proud to be part of.
The position requires someone with previous experience in accurate data processing who is also prepared for both physically demanding, and sometimes grimy work (overalls are provided), and ideally with at least one year of experience working in a warehouse. They should also be willing to work outside when required and be willing to travel for occasional project overseas.
This full-time role requires a person with good communication skills (both written and verbal), preferably educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard. Possession of a fork-lift licence is highly desirable, and a Driving Licence is essential.
The package attracts an hourly rate of £11.50 p/h (rising to £13.00 p/h following probation) for a 39.5-hour week, Monday to Friday. A full company uniform is provided along with on-site parking.
Expressions of interest should be made via CV emailed through to lthomas@airsalvage.co.uk.
ASI has held its ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Systems Management) accreditations since 2004 and 2007 respectively. Furthermore, in August 2017, the Company successfully migrated to the latest (2015) version of the ISO Standards. In 2006 ASI was one of the founding members of AFRA. The aim of the organisation was to develop BMPs with the aim of increasing industry performance and raising commercial value for end-of-life aircraft. Today, AFRA represents companies from across the globe and throughout the supply-chain. Through the collective experience of its members, AFRA’s BMP Guide has significantly improved the management of end-of-life aircraft in terms of environmental and sustainable performance. ASI is proud to have been part of AFRA’s formation, and was one of the first companies worldwide to receive its accreditation.
