A World Leader in Aircraft Disassembly – Where Sustainability Takes Flight
AFRA Accreditation (Diamond KPI Level Status)
In 2006, ASI proudly became one of the founding members of the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA) – a global initiative dedicated to advancing Best Management Practices (BMPs) for end-of-life aircraft. The Association’s mission was clear: to elevate industry standards and unlock greater commercial value through responsible, sustainable aircraft disassembly and recycling.
ASI was among the first companies worldwide to be accredited by AFRA and currently holds Diamond KPI Level Status – their highest level of recognition. This top‑tier accreditation recognises our commitment to safe material handling, maximised component recovery, and strict environmental controls. It demonstrates that our processes not only meet global sustainability standards but actively drive the aviation industry toward a more circular, lower‑carbon future.
Today, AFRA represents a diverse network of companies across the global supply chain. Its BMP Guide, shaped by the collective expertise of its members, has become a benchmark for environmentally sound and sustainable aircraft lifecycle management. As one of the founding members, we’re honoured that our rigorous ethical practices played a key role in establishing these BMPs.
Our uninterrupted tenure on the AFRA Board of Directors highlights our deep-rooted engagement in advancing aircraft recycling and sustainability standards.

ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are internationally recognised benchmarks for excellence in quality management and environmental responsibility. ASI has proudly maintained ISO 9001 certification since 2004 and ISO 14001 since 2007, reflecting more than two decades of commitment to structured, independently verified management systems. In 2017, we successfully transitioned to the updated 2015 standards, strengthening the consistency, transparency, and continual‑improvement culture that underpins our operations.
These certifications were achieved through rigorous external audits that assessed ASI’s performance across a wide range of operational and environmental criteria, including:
- Understanding and meeting customer requirements through robust quality management processes.
- Delivering consistent, high‑quality services supported by documented procedures and continual improvement.
- Implementing efficient, effective management systems that reduce risk and enhance operational reliability.
- Maintaining a structured approach to environmental responsibility, including impact assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
- Demonstrating a commitment to sustainable development, resource efficiency, and reducing our operational footprint.
Together, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 provide a strong, integrated framework that ensures our customers receive safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible services across every stage of the aircraft‑disassembly process.
