ASI offers a 24/7 Recovery Team with specialist equipment on standby to deal with emergency incidents that occur throughout the UK, the Channel Islands, and Eire.
In early August, just as the business day was drawing to a close, they were called to assist with the recovery of a light aircraft that was forced to make an emergency landing on the A40 Golden Valley, Gloucestershire with suspected engine failure. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved and all on board were uninjured.
Once Emergency Services were able to hand the aircraft over to the ASI Recovery Team, the fuselage was safely transported to a safe destination in preparation for the Air Accidents Investigation Branch to carry out a full assessment.
