Tuesday 27th January 2026 represented a significant milestone in aviation history as we recognise the 50th anniversary of Concorde’s first commercial service – a defining moment in the advancement of global air travel ✈️
This anniversary also provides an opportunity to reflect on Air Salvage International’s role in supporting the preservation of this iconic aircraft. In April 2004, we were privileged to be awarded the British Airways contract to dismantle Concorde G‑BOAA at Heathrow. This complex and highly specialised project enabled the aircraft’s subsequent reconstruction by our team at The National Museum of Flight in Scotland.
Our involvement in safeguarding G‑BOAA’s legacy remains a notable achievement, and a testament to the technical capability and professionalism of our team.
